AI & Coding Intern.
Find the manual work inside a real operation, then automate it. Real industrial problems, real production systems, from week one.
- Stipend
- ₹12,000–15,000 per month
- Duration
- 3 months
- Hours
- Mon–Fri 10:00–18:00, Sat 10:00–14:00

- Multiple openings
the work
Find operational inefficiencies and build the AI-driven solutions, automation tools and backend systems that remove them. You get hands-on exposure to real industrial problems inside an operation that is being rebuilt around AI — not a sandbox, not a training project.
three months, three tracks
Process improvement and automation
- Identify and automate manual, repetitive or inefficient processes across departments.
- Recommend eliminating or optimising redundant workflows and systems.
- Build practical AI-driven solutions for real business and operational problems.
Development and technical execution
- Build internal tools, scripts and backend systems.
- Work with APIs, databases and server-side logic to support automation work.
- Build scalable workflows and data pipelines that run in production.
Cross-functional collaboration
- Work with operations, manufacturing and management teams to understand the real problem.
- Translate operational problems into practical, technology-driven solutions.
- Support modernisation work involving automation and robotics.
what you need to show us
Technical skills
- Strong Python, at production-level quality.
- Good SQL: complex queries, schema design, optimisation.
- Backend development — APIs, databases, pipelines, server-side logic.
- Background job and worker patterns: queues, polling loops, retries, idempotent processing.
- Comfort designing config-driven or schema-driven systems that generalise, rather than hardcoded one-off logic.
AI-native development
- Hands-on with at least one AI coding tool — Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot or Codex.
- You have built AI agents that take real actions: calling tools, triggering workflows, acting on data. Not just chat interfaces.
Projects (mandatory)
- At least one meaningful real-world project you can show us.
- Tutorial-based or generic portfolio projects will not be considered.
We are not looking for chatbot-only projects with no backend depth, or simple website builds with minimal technical complexity.
what you leave with
Three months, and something real to point at.
- Hands-on experience solving real industrial and operational problems.
- Exposure to manufacturing, automation, robotics and AI-driven systems.
- Freedom to experiment with modern AI tools and technologies.
- Access to the resources you need to build something that actually ships.
- A performance-based PPO (pre-placement offer) opportunity.
how to apply
Apply with your work — projects, code or systems you have built. Degree, college and CGPA do not matter. Student, dropout or self-taught does not matter. Certificates do not matter.
who you are joining
PotionLabs.
We are an AI solutions company. We build AI-native systems that run the operational core of a business — not another dashboard bolted on top of one. We sit on top of the system a customer already has; their books stay in Tally or SAP.
Our first product, the AI Intelligence Workforce, is live in production at JD Jones & Co., a century-old manufacturer, where order entry went from about 8 hours to about 2 minutes. The headless kernel — the architecture where a new customer is read rather than custom-built for — is in build.
Manufacturing is our proving ground, not our ceiling. The team works from the Park Street office in Kolkata.
